Reflection on Web 2.0 tools

     I find the Web 2.0 tools project really beneficial, where I learnt about different tools that are helpful for my educational process and I know it will benefit me later when I work. I didn’t know about half of the tools but thanks to this project I learnt about them, even in advanced way! In addition, it was the first time I train someone as a result I learned how to train rather than present, and learned the difference between both of them, I am sure by learning this skill I will be able to use it when I work. I’m so proud to mention our collage motto which is “Learning by Doing” because the teachers really teach us that which I’m thankful for it, and I learnt this project by doing. Frankly, in my prospective I find all the tools helpful for me, but I ranked them from the 1^st to the 11^th:

      1.       Google Chrome

      From my point of view I find Google Chrome is the most important tool for me because I am always surfing the internet to do my project or do my own things like watching movies or visiting different website. I like this tool because it is secure, simple, and fast, and it offers many useful Apps.

2.       Drop Box and Google Drive

      I enjoy using these tools because they allow me to save my things on a safe place (internet) and access them from any device I want whether from my personal computer or other computer and from my smartphone, and share files easily with other people.

3.       Google Maps

      I downloaded Google Maps on my Smartphone this tool is very useful for me because I usually don’t know a lot of places in Dubai or generally in UAE. I use it as a GPS, it help to get to places I don’t know how to reach them. Also, I share any location that I visited, with other people by email, any social network like Instagram and Google+, and any kind of messenger App.

4.       Prezi

      Prezi became my favorite presentation tool, because it allows me to liberate my creative thoughts and form them in attractive and interesting presentation. I recently started using it to do my presentation projects for this semester, and edit and share them with my group members. Mr. Tridib gave me an awesome Idea and told me to think about doing it which is applying for jobs by making a Prezi CV presentation, and I am planning on doing it later on!

5.       Picasa

      I like this tool because it is free and easy to use, and it is ideal for photo editing. I use Picasa to edit my own pictures and make collages. In addition, I used it a lot in doing the History of Photography projects where I edited pictures and made videos (You can watch the video in the photo essay page).

6.       Google Calendar

       I use Google Calendar in my daily life to manage my time by creating diverse calendars to manage different kind of event. For example, task calendar, personal calendar and project deadline calendar. Also I set reminders and notification and they send them to my email and my phone. In addition, I share my calendar with my friends, and browse interesting calendars like Muslims holiday or holidays in the UAE.

7.       Google Sites

      I used this tool to create my site for the Web 2.0 tools project, and I’m thinking to use it more in the future since I am planning to open my own clothing business later on. It will be a good idea to make my own business website using this tool because it will appear directly in the Google search. (look at my Google Site) 

8.       Blogger

      I used this tool to create this blog for the MIS course, and I’m thinking to continue using it to write interesting topics and share them with others.

9.       Diigo

      I use Diigo when I do my collage projects where I bookmark the sites that I want to use them later, I highlight important information, and I write notes, and then share them with my colleagues.

10.   Google Docs

      I use Google Docs to create Presentations, Spreadsheets, Documents and online surveys. In addition, I share what I create in Google Docs with my colleagues and they edit them with me.

11.   Google+

      I use Google+ to share with others my moments and stuff that interest me. Also, I use it to find people from collage and schools. Finally, I use the Hangouts option to create Group conversations and video chats with my friends and family. 

2 smart strategies to excel in final exams

Usually college students leave studying until the last minute, in general the education experts provide the following solutions strategies to study for final exams.

 Find the best strategy that works for you and apply it!
1 - Put a stopwatch
Let's say you have a goal to study in the afternoon, section your time and use a stopwatch, so you can bypass any obstacles that may appear or any distraction.

For example:

- For 47 minutes: study like a nerd and don't ever use the internet.and you must specify the tasks such as reading the study book, reviewing the notes practicing on questions or memorizing formulas.
- For 3 minutes: brows your preferred and you must use a stopwatch and you should not exceed the time limit.
- For 6 minutes: Stay away from books and computer and phones. just drink a full  bottle of water,take a quick moment out of the room, eat something light and stretch your body.
- Repeat the process several times

Note: find the right time for you and always use a stopwatch, don't fool yourself if you wonder why I didn't specify a full hour to study is because one hour seems a heavy word and wanted to light it up.

2 - Put clear achieve targets
Type the following sentence: 
"I will not do anything else until ......." put in the space what you wish to achieve and work hard to fulfill the the promise 
For example: 
- I will not do anything until I write another 300 words in this training.
- I will not do anything until the Finish reading 40 pages. 
- I will not do anything until I understand 38 English word and memorize them.

In video the worst souvenir photo wedding

Newlyweds are always keen to pay attention to every detail in their wedding day making sure that every thing is perfect, but these newlyweds in the video they had a bad luck where they and their guests fall in dirty lake when they were taking a souvenir photo.
In detail, before the ceremony starts the couples invited the guests to line up on the wooden platform on the Krocelik Lake  in the state of Minnesota for souvenir  photo, but the dilapidated wooden platform was unable to bear the weight of all the people and they fell in the lake.
According to the British newspaper Daily Mail, the accident caused the wedding ceremony to postponed for only 10 minutes where the groom  Dan and the bride Jackie Anderson dried their clothes.

Rejection is a painful experience for most of people it prevent them from continuing their life in a normal way and forms a barrier in front of  their success whether in their professional ,emotional or social life.

However, psychologists argue that  rejection is only a step on the road to success, it give the humans a chance to rearrange their life, and  give them a push to make more effort to reach their objectives. So the Huffington Post newspaper offered some advice that help to accept rejection from others:

• The best is waiting for you

If people look back they will realize that destiny always deprive them from wanted things, to make up for them with better than they wanted. So people should be patient and go forward with what they do and never ever give up because what awaits them is always better.

• Best opportunities 

Often rejection constitutes an opportunity to search for better ones and  raise the level of ambition, so people should not regret missed opportunities.

• Self-confidence 

People should not take rejection very personally, because rejection is often caused by objective circumstances and different mankind desires and inclinations. So people's self confidence should not be shaken by it, they should consider it as a step on the road to success.

• Revaluation 

Rejection is necessary in many cases. So people can be able to look at their  personal potential, and re-valuate their skills and experience accordingly, Then work on enhancing and add on them in order to avoid  rejection next time.

• Empathize with others 

Rejection Helps people to feel others who went through the same experience, and empathy with them, try to offer help for them, and avoid treating them with arrogance.

• Rejection is not the end 

According to wise saying " What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" , so you must look at  rejection as passing by experience and learn some lessons from it.

Time to relax

Once and awhile I like to have some quality time by myself to clear my head and remove all the stress from my body. Few days ago I went to the Waldorf Astoria  Spa where I had a full hour of full body oil massage filled with relaxing scents and cozy atmosphere where the massage relaxed all my tense muscles. It was the first time I try their massage and it turned out to be great. I just wanted to share my experience with my readers.

A student made a test that shows how makeup can reflect women's moods to others

The British newspaper Daily Mail indicated that a test conducted by the student Brenton Parker (21 years) from the University of California in which she tried to prove the impact of makeup type that a woman wear on  relationship with others.
the test included the her university's colleagues, as monitored their reactions on her three different looks which she viewed a single look over three days and she posted them  on her Facebook and Twitter account to be able to monitor large group as much as possible

In the first look,the student was keen to appear quite naturally as if she was just awake from sleep. She didn't wear any makeup on her face, then she published her image in her social accounts. She quickly received a lot of comments asking about her health whether she was sick or depressed.

In the second look she wore simple make-up, which gave her an attractive and natural look. she used  mascara and  glossy pink lipstick and a little powder. Most of the comments that she received were admiration for this distinctive look , which highlighted her beauty that made her attractive and elegant.

In the third look, she appeared with  full  makeup where she applied cream foundation, eye shadows powder and lipstick. Most of the comments indicated curiosity to discover what kind of occasion that she is getting ready to attend or what kind of event that she was in.

She concluded in her test by saying that the woman's confidence of her presence, beauty and culture doubles her attractiveness not her makeup. But this does not prevent her from taking care of her appearance.

Escaped her death at the hands of her family, because she married the man she loves

According to British newspaper Daily Mail, Pakistani girl escaped from death, after her family members tried to kill her by shooting her twice, and dumped her in a canal , because she escaped and married her love of her life.

A spokesman of the police in the Pakistani in Punjab province Abad Said Ali Akbar that Saba the 18 years old girl, was assaulted by her father, uncle, aunt, and her brother, then  thrown into a canal.

He explained that her family members  her twice, after a few days of  her marriage to her neighbor named Mohammed Caesar,pointing out that they put her in a bag, and thrown her in a canal and they assumed that she was dead. He added that "Saba was injured in her cheek and her right hand, after they throw her in the water she regained her consciousness, and struggled to get to a nearby gas station, where passers-by helped her. The girl stated that she fears death and she's asking  the authorities to provide her a protection. A police region officer said the, Ali Akbar: "we have taken the girl to a private room in the hospital, and officers are helping to keep her safe."

Many Pakistani families think it is disgraceful for a woman to fall in love and choose her husband, as she have to accept arranged marriages.

The Library of Harvard University is having a book that enveloped with Human Skin!!

As the Harvard Library indicated in it's blog that experiments showed that a French book goes back to the 19th century was most likely enveloped by a human skin.

The library mentioned in their blog that the cover of the book "The fortunes of the Spirit" by the author Arsene Jose, is likely to be made ​​of human skin.
The university began conducting tests on the cover of the book after finding a note inside it, which is described as a look contemplative about the soul and life after death, in which he stated that the book has been packaged using human skin  from the back of the body of a patient had a mental illenes infected with a mental illness and died of a stroke.

Newlyweds request the guests to donate blood instead of gifts

The newlyweds thought that the blood donations to the health care center is the best gift ever they can receive from their friends and relatives in order to save people's life.

Instead of luxury gifts and stylish the groom "Barry G" and the bride"Monica Gamble" preferred to ask the relatives and their friends to donate blood instead of gold, silver and other usual wedding gifts. The funny and interesting thing is that the couple went to the donation center in Richmond after the marriage ceremony while wearing their wedding clothes to preform a blood transfusion. They said "The best gift in the world is giving life to others" but the greatest is that their friends and family are contributing to  this noble work. Finally, they thank the guests who have helped them in this task and gave them the full support.

Three days ago, in  Chicago city  a new distinctive tower was opened, where the 94  floor of the tower offers a beautiful  overlooking view of the city in an innovative way.

The website "Havgton Post" mentioned  that  the visitors and  heights lovers see the city horizontally, but this building gives visitors the possibility to discover the city, through a new technology added to the building to allow windows to lean forward by 30 degrees, which gives the impression that the body is about to fall down.

Send and receive photos between iPhone and Android via Wi-Fi

There is no direct way to send images between  iPhone and Android phones, as the user needs to send  them via e-mail or through applications such as Whats Up. but through the FREE application "PhotoSync" which is available for free for Android devices, and not free for the iPhone. PhotoSync allows users to share photos directly via Wi-Fi. The application should be available in device of the  transmitter and receiver, and after selecting the images the user presses the "Send" button and choose the device that he/she wish to send pictures to from the list.

I like to maintain my body figure and do workout. I tried these workouts myself and they are effective. If you want a flat stomach and sexy bum try doing these exercises at least 5 times a week and you will notice the difference. Tip: Remember if you want a sexy bum you have to do squats at least 50 times a day and do it the right way they are really useful. The third video is about squats. 

Burj Khalifa Pinnacle BASE Jump !!

Imagine if someone told you to base jump from Burj Khalifa and they will give you 1 million Dollar would you do it !  Honestly, for me I can't do it because i don't have what it takes! 
But  the French professional base jumpers Vince Reffet and Fred Fugen did it.They broke a Guinness World Record for the highest Base jump after jumping from the pinnacle of the Burj Khalifa and spiralling down the world’s tallest man-made structure. Check out this amazing video!

Pool family gathering

With the intense heat and humidity, me and my family decided to have a pool family gathering this weekend.

so we went to the supermarket bought some snakes and cold beverages because food is the most important thing in a gathering, we always like to make our tummies happy ^^. 

 At the gathering the kids and the adults jumped into the water were they swam and played.
